Benefits of using a wood Guitar pick= brighter tone.warmer tonal response.
The nature of wood provides the added benefit of reducing ‘pick noise‘ (the clicking) that is produced by the majority of standard plectrums and replaces it with a more pleasant ‘percussive sound’. A nice benefit particularly in a studio environment or general play.
The 4 picks measures approx. 1-1/4" or 31 mm long X just over 1" or 26 mm wide, it is 3.3 mm thick at the thickest part of the pick, but it feels & plays much thinner due to the rough sanded concave thumb print on pick for great grip, the pick tapers down to about 1 mm at the attack end, & was designed with the guitarist in mind for total comfort & play-ability, the pick is treated for smooth feel and has amazing see thru natural wood grain finish. For some guitarists, bass players, it may take a while to get used to playing with a wooden pick, but every guitar or bass player that I know that has tried the wood pick, simply can't live without their hardwood guitar picks once put to the test. So take your guitar playing to new levels, with the unmatched performance, & the true tones that are only met with a wood pick.
COCOBOLO ROSEWOOD - Dalbergia Retusa
The tree is Native to, Mexico, Central America, and areas of northern South America. A true Rosewood, Cocobolo is one of the finest and most beautifully figured woods in the world. It comes in many shades and colors. It is a rosewood that usually has a fair amount of natural oil in the wood. The heartwood is typically orange or reddish-brown in color, often with a figuring of darker irregular traces weaving through the wood. The sapwood (not often used) is a creamy yellow, with a sharp boundary with the heartwood. The heartwood is known to change color after being cut, lending to its appeal. It is very hard, fine textured and dense, but is easily machined, definitely one of the worlds most adored & sought after woods.
Padauk
Tree native to southeastern Asia having reddish wood with a mottled or striped black grain
Maple wood
is creamy white with a reddish tinge and usually has a straight grain, sometimes curly or wavy. Fine brown growth rings give an attractive figure on plain sawn surfaces
Mango wood
is a hard wood has a reputation for its durability and beautiful variations of natural see thru wood grain finishes they all vary due to the mango wood texture
Ebony is a dense black wood, most commonly yielded by several different species in the genus Diospyros. Ebony is dense enough to sink in water. It is finely textured and has a very smooth finish when polished
Chir wood is native of India and the Himalayas one of the oldest woods still around.
